There is a story of a man who decided to buy some cows to help his boys learn responsibility.  A neighbor - a famer of many years - came up to him one day and began critizicing him regarding some of the things the boys were doing.  The man smiled and said, "Thank you for your concern. But you don't understand. I'm not raising cows; I'm raising boys."

It is easy as a home school parent to be consumed with the tasks of teaching our children.  The reality is, we will never have enough hours in a day to teach them everything.  Let's evaluate our daily lives.  Are we placing an emphasis on the achedemics and missing the point of building virtuous children?  My hearts cry is, "Lord, what do you want me to do today?"
